David, our founder & CEO, never set out to build an AI company - he was just trying to solve his own problem. As a serial e-commerce entrepreneur, he had spent many years and millions of dollars of his own money running Google Ads for his various ventures. But no matter how much time he invested - over 60 hours a week optimising campaigns, tweaking ads, and building landing pages - he couldn’t shake the feeling that the system was broken.
When David tried to outsource the headache to agencies, he ran into a new set of problems. Bloated retainers, zero accountability, and a complete lack of alignment with his business goals. Determined to find a solution, David, a self-taught programmer since age 11, began building his own software to automate and optimise his ad campaigns and those of a few friends.
Soon realising there was massive demand for his early prototypes, he recruited a team of engineers, machine learning scientists and veteran marketers to build groas into the leading product for search campaign optimisation. Within just a month of launching, groas scaled to managing $10 million in monthly ad spend for businesses worldwide using no marketing our outreach. The rest, as they say, is history.
